About IRO Fashion
- What is IRO Fashion?
IRO Fashion (irofashion.com) is a tailoring and clothing business in Kalutara South, Sri Lanka. It stitches garments to your measurements, sells ready-made clothing online with delivery across Sri Lanka, and rents out occasion wear from its shop.
- Where is IRO Fashion and when is it open?
The workshop is at 170/A, Thewatte, Gamagoda Rd, Kalutara 12016, Sri Lanka. Opening hours: Every day, 8.00 am – 8.00 pm. You can call 071 628 5427 or email support@irofashion.com.
Custom stitching
- How does online custom stitching work?
Choose the garment you want stitched, such as a saree blouse, frock, skirt or Kandyan saree. The site shows the measurements needed for that garment, with a guide for each one, so you can measure yourself at home and send them online. We review the request, tell you if a measurement looks inconsistent, and confirm a date with you when we accept it.
- Can I be measured in person instead?
Yes. You are welcome to visit the workshop at 170/A, Thewatte, Gamagoda Rd, Kalutara 12016, Sri Lanka to be measured instead of measuring yourself.
- Can I bring my own fabric?
Yes. You can supply your own material or ask us to source it for you. If you bring your own, we advise on the quantity needed before cutting.
- How long does custom stitching take?
Typically 2 to 3 weeks from the point your measurements and material are settled. It depends on the garment and how busy the workshop is, and we confirm a date with you when we accept the request.
- What if a stitched garment does not fit?
If a garment does not match the measurements recorded on your order, or is faulty, we put it right at no cost. If the measurements were followed correctly but you would like a different fit, we quote for an alteration. Raise any fit concern within 7 days of receiving the garment, before it is worn, washed or altered elsewhere.
Shopping and delivery
- Does IRO Fashion deliver across Sri Lanka?
Yes. We deliver island-wide through courier partners, and delivery is free on orders of Rs 15,000.00 or more. The exact charge is shown at checkout before you pay. You can also collect from the workshop for free. We do not currently ship outside Sri Lanka.
- How long does delivery take?
Ready-made items are dispatched within 2 to 3 business days of payment being confirmed and typically arrive 2 to 4 business days after dispatch. These are estimates; festival seasons and courier delays can move them.
- How can I pay?
Online payments are handled by PayHere, and we never see your full card details. You can also pay in person when collecting from the workshop. We do not currently offer cash on delivery.
- Can I return or exchange an item?
Ready-made items can be exchanged for a different size or colour within 7 days of delivery, unworn and with tags attached; they are not refunded for a change of mind. Custom-stitched garments are made for you and cannot be returned for a change of mind, but faulty items are always repaired, replaced or refunded.
Renting occasion wear
- How does renting a saree or occasion wear work?
Pick a piece and request your dates online. The dates are held once we confirm the booking, usually within one working day. You pick the piece up from our Kalutara shop and return it there; rental pieces are not sent by courier.
- What do I pay to rent, and when?
You pay the rental (the daily rate times the number of days) and a refundable deposit in store when you pick the piece up. The deposit comes back when the piece is returned on time and in the condition it left. Cancelling before pickup costs nothing.
